The Joint Commission arrives for full survey

This week we are welcoming The Joint Commission for a five-day visit as they conduct a full survey of UI Hospitals & Clinics. Remember RACE, PASS, and hospital emergency numbers (195, 199), and know the location of your nearest fire extinguisher. Secure oxygen cylinders. Don’t block egress corridors, fire exit doors, electrical panels, or med gas valves.

Epic: What’s new

  • There are no Epic changes being implemented on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Any previously planned changes are being held until Tuesday, Sept. 17. See Status Reports (What’s New) on the Epic Education A–Z site for previous status reports and changes.

  • CAMBUS is participating in a comprehensive study of local transit systems and is asking for your help. To collect feedback for the study, CAMBUS users on the buses will be asked on Sept. 11 and 12 to complete a brief survey about their experiences.
  • The Institute for Clinical and Translational Science is sponsoring a K Club for any faculty planning to submit a K, R, or VA equivalent grant within the next 12 months. They will meet twice a month beginning tomorrow. Space is limited.
