Iowa researcher finds weightlifting can extend lifespans
Assistant professor Jessica Gorzelitz, PhD—expert in exercise oncology within UI Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center—looks to unearth whether aerobic exercise and weightlifting impact mortality.
- Beginning Monday, Jan. 9, UPS will no longer be providing desktop delivery of packages. Materials Services will deliver these shipments as part of their normal delivery services.
- The Consortium of Rural States—which includes the UI Institute for Clinical and Translational Science—invites all faculty to apply for inter-institutional pilot awards. A letter of intent is due by Wednesday, Jan. 18.
