University of Iowa Health Care LGBTQ+ OutList

University of Iowa Health Care is developing an OutList and invites anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ to participate.

The OutList is a public and voluntary listing of members of our health care community who identify as LGBTQ+. This list was created to foster an inclusive community and to provide members of the LGBTQ+ community with informal networking and mentoring opportunities.

The OutList will serve as a resource for faculty, staff, resident and fellow physicians, post-docs, and students. Current, future, or prospective UI Health Care members may contact people on the OutList to connect or to ask questions.

If you have questions or would like to learn more, please contact medicine-diversity@uiowa.edu.

If you are interested in joining the OutList, submit this form. The Carver College of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will review all submissions and make them live on the website.

The OutList is completely voluntary. There will be multiple options for those who decide to participate to make decisions on how much information they want public versus private.

  1. Is there an option to be a supporter of OUTLIST? I would be very willing to volunteer in anyway possible for the cause. My Daughter and Her wife are LGBTQ. I wear me Free Mom Hugs shirt as much as possible. Please let me know if there is any way that I can assist

    • Hi Sherri,
Thanks for your comment! We will be creating an Allies List for anyone within UI Health Care to join as part of this project. Stay tuned for more updates about this as we get closer to rolling this out.
