Reimagined PowerPoint templates with helpful pre-built graphic assets and a redesigned uihc.org home page with improved search functionality mark the next steps in UI Health Care’s branding refresh.
These changes align with new University of Iowa branding guidelines and are intended to increase quality and efficiency across the organization.
New, pre-designed graphic assets to make presentations easier to build
The new PowerPoint templates will help staff create attractive, UI Health Care-branded presentations as easily as possible. The UI Health Care Marketing and Communications graphic design team has done most of the artistic work for you, which means you can concentrate on adding the content to communicate your message.
The new templates come with a wide variety of prepared slide layouts and a wealth of exciting new design assets to support your presentations, including:
- Pre-built charts, graphics, and infographics that you can customize with your own data, including an editable state map of Iowa with county boundaries for easy highlighting and emphasis
- A set of more than 400 icons, including custom UI- and UI Health Care-related icons
- Professional campus photography
- Pre-designed slides—with descriptions and current data included—demonstrating our patient care, research, and education missions; our national rankings; and the benefits of living in Iowa City
The new templates are accompanied by a detailed tutorial video to make it simple for even the least-experienced creators to design compelling presentations with confidence.
The new templates—with versions customized for UI Health Care, UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, and the UI Carver College of Medicine— are available now on The Point in the Marketing and Communications section.
And you can look forward to more helpful updates to our self-service templates in the months ahead.
Website home page improvements to help patients and visitors find what they need, quickly
The uihc.org home page has been redesigned to offer users the easiest path to what they need.
Visitors to our site are now greeted by a large, simple search option, so they can immediately begin entering terms that are meaningful to them, such as a provider’s name, their symptoms or condition, or a location they prefer.
The new page also features large, clearly labeled buttons for users who prefer to browse their way to what they need.
The page’s new design elements align with the university’s new look, and its improved functionality continues our progress toward making the site as welcoming and frictionless as possible for our core audience of patients and visitors.

I’m really liking the new UIHC home page!
Thanks so much for putting this together. It will save loads of time for us!
