UI Health Care employees and others can expect to learn more in the coming weeks and months about how the organization is taking steps to become a more diverse, equitable, and welcoming place for all.
Following the recommendations of a UI Health Care diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) task force, a number of initiatives are underway that focus on:
- Recruitment and retention
- Organizational culture and climate
- Identifying and eliminating health disparities
- Respect and understanding between providers and patients
