Submit a photo for MLK Human Rights Week: What does diversity mean to you?

In advance of the 2019 UI Health Care Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Week (Jan. 21 to 25), we invite faculty, staff, students, and volunteers to share their thoughts with words and a picture:

One goal of this effort is to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and encourage input from individuals across UI Health Care, the entire university, and the community at large. Another goal is to collect insights and ideas that may contribute to a thoughtful and respectful consideration of what words like “diversity,” “inclusion,” and “human rights” mean to you and others.

The images will be posted to The Loop. They also will be projected prior to the beginning of the 2019 UI Health Care Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Lecture by Raynard S. Kington, MD, president of Grinnell College. Kington’s presentation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, in Prem Sahai Auditorium in the Medical Education and Research Facility.
