Like many current (and future) UI Health Care patient care facilities, the recently opened urgent care and UI Sports Medicine clinics—located on 411 10th Street SE in downtown Cedar Rapids—were designed with patients in mind.
Located at 411 10th Street SE, the newly-opened facility in downtown Cedar Rapids is intended to improve access for patients and employees living the Cedar Rapids area.
The waiting room is spacious, with single and family restroom conveniently located near the front of the space.
The check-in desks include privacy barriers to help patients feel more comfortable and secure with their medical information.
Behind Sara Beer, PA-C, with Brianne Benjamin, DNP, ARMP, you can see the color coded walls, designed to help patients better navigate the clinic space.
Housing both urgent care and UI Sports Medicine clinics, the new facility provides x-ray exams and full lab services, meaning patients who may need follow-up care won’t have to return to UI Health Care’s main campus for those services.
The two procedure rooms both have dual-door access so that—in the event of an emergency—patients can be taken into a wide hallway with elevator and ambulance access.
The clinic includes a number of various exam rooms that are clean, well lit, and spacious.
With large, comfy exam chairs, the clinic caters to patients of all kinds: both big and small.
