Read about UI Health Care’s events, annual traditions, and more related to the holiday season:

Angel Tree, Nov. 21 – Dec. 19

Share the joy of the holidays by donating a gift to a UI Hospitals & Clinics patient! Your generous donations will help our Activities Therapy staff reach their goal of offering a gift to each long-term adult inpatient during the holiday season. Adopt an angel tree from outside the Volunteer Services Office (between Elevator D and F, Level 8).

Can’t make it to the Angel Tree? The UI Holiday Committee has partnered with Volunteer Services-sponsored businesses to continue the virtual Angel Tree to make it more accessible to the community. Suggested gifts can be found on the Wild Rose Gifts website and include Hawkeye apparel, salon items, and much more! All proceeds from gifts purchased for the Angel Tree through the website will go directly towards programs that benefit our patients and their families at UI Hospitals & Clinics and UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Sponsored by the UI Health Care Holiday Committee.

Warm the Sole, Nov. 22 – Jan. 31

UI Health Care Holiday Committee needs your help decorating the clotheslines with new socks! Donated socks will be donated to local nonprofit agencies such as DVIP, Crisis Center, NCJC, Shelter House, UAY, and Girl Scouts. The Warm the Sole clothesline can be found by the Main Entrance (Elevator E, Level 1). If socks are purchased from Wild Rose Gifts for the Warm the Sole sock drive, not only are you helping those in need, but the proceeds from your donation go directly toward programs that benefit our patients and their families at UI Hospitals & Clinics and UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital through Volunteer Services.
