Video: Nursing thank you

The Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care released a thank you video from nursing leadership, which we can all agree applies to everyone working within UI Health Care. We stand together.

“As the coronavirus (COVID-19) presence in our state continues to grow, colleagues from every area have come together, using their training, preparation and collaboration to meet patient needs head-on.

“Our expertise and talent shines at times like these, and we are fortunate to have so many national leaders among our UI Health Care team. From executing our emergency plan to staffing our clinics and units; from caring for our staff to serving as a top health resource for our state, we are seeing the utmost dedication in every one of us.

“We are using our evidence-based research to direct best practices, adapting policies to continually changing information, fulfilling critical and timely staff education needs, and meeting the demanding needs of staffing, workspaces, equipment, labwork, all in an effort to handle—in the best way possible—the current and future pandemic demands.

“We have always been proud of our professionalism and teamwork regarding our patients and their care, but we are prouder still of the extraordinary ways we are working together amidst the current coronavirus pandemic.

“Thank you for everything you do,”
