Staff parking and transportation
The hospital Main Entrance driveway, UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital main entrance, and Family Care Center circle are prioritized for patient drop-off and pick-up only. Staff should not use these locations for drop-off or pick-up as it adds congestion and negatively impacts access for patients.
Staff being dropped off or picked up for work at UI Hospitals & Clinics should use the north section of Parking Lot 43 just north of the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC). If at WCTC, do not use the bus lanes around WCTC for drop off or pick up.
- NOTE:
- April 7–Sept. 3: Employees should not be picked up or dropped off on For the Kids Way, as it may interfere construction work.
Two pedestrian ramps provide easy access from Parking Lot 43 to the WCTC. These locations are indicated by the gold pins on the map. From the WCTC, staff may choose to use the skyway or may use the marked pedestrian crosswalks and sidewalks to arrive at UI Hospitals & Clinics.
Please do your part to plan your route to work accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanks for understanding as we give priority to our patients to be dropped off and picked up at the main hospital entrance and drive at the Family Care Center.
