WorldCanvass to feature authors Yaa Gyasi and D.K. Nnuro

The one-hour program “The Ghanaian-American Experience in Literature and Art” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, will feature authors Yaa Gyasi, D.K. Nnuro, and Associate Provost and Dean of International Programs Russ Ganim.
Gyasi’s novel Homegoing both the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Award for best first book and the Pen/Hemingway Award. Nnuro is a graduate of the UI Writers’ Workshop.
