Project Art presents: Piano recital with Hsin-Hui Liu

Project Art presents Hsin-Hui Liu in a piano recital at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the John Colloton Pavilion Atrium (Elevator F, Level 1).

Hsin-Hui Liu is a doctoral of musical arts candidate and teaching assistant at the University of Iowa under the tutelage of Uriel Tsachor, professor in the University of Iowa School of Music. She earned her master’s degree from The University of British Columbia and graduated summa cum laude from the Lynn University Conservatory of Music with a degree of bachelor of music. She is the recipient of Eleanor Gray Memorial Scholarship in 2016, as well as the Faculty of Arts Graduate Award from the University of British Columbia. Liu received the gold medal at the Montecito International Music Festival in the summer of 2018. She is the winner of the 2012-2013 Ars Flores Concerto Competition.

The program will be as follows:

Liszt: Au Bord d’une source (Beside a Spring) from Years of Pligrimage, First year: Switzerland

Liszt: Les jeux d’eaux à la Villa d’Este  (The Fountains of the Villa d’Este) from Years of Pilgrimage: Third year

Beethoven: Piano Sonata in E-flat Major Op. 31-3

  1. Allegro
  2. Scherzo. Allegretto vivace

III. Menuetto. Moderato e grazioso

  1. Presto con fuoco
