Iowa City Hospice is pleased to present Kamp Kaleidoscope, a day that gives children who have experienced the death of a loved one a fun and therapeutic way to share with others who have similar experience.
Kamp Kaleidoscope will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at River Community Church, 3001 Muscatine Avenue in Iowa City. There is no cost to attend the event, and lunch is included. Participants should register by Oct. 18.
Kamp Kaleidoscope is staffed by professionals and volunteers trained to assist youth through this difficult time. It is open to K–12 students, who can:
- Share how they feel with their peers
- Receive education and support
- Gain a better understanding of the grieving process
- Recognize healthy ways to express their feelings
