Family Services: Self-Care Course for Caregivers of Adults with Acute and Chronic Illness

Feeling stretched caring for a loved one? Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a class designed to provide you-the family caregiver-with the skills you need to take care of yourself. Six 90-minute classes held once a week are led by certified, experienced class leaders from Human Sciences Extension and Outreach. This class is offered at no cost to UI faculty and staff. Participants are allowed to bring a friend or relative, also at no cost.

Better communicate your feelings
Increase ability to make tough choices
Locate helpful resources
Classes will be held 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 6 through March 13, in the Fountain Conference Room SW‐164‐13 GH (Elevator BW, Level 1), west of the first floor compass and through the doors marked UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
