A full transition to the Vue Motion image viewer as a replacement to iSite is currently underway.
Carestream Vue Motion is an integrated, next-generation image viewing platform that can be accessed today through Epic. Vue Motion will incorporate annotated and labeled saved images, support the patient portal (MyChart) for patient image viewing, and allow for image viewing on hand-held devices, in addition to other important new functions.
The new features are related to the integration of the Carestream viewer, reporting system, and the PACS (image archive). Transitioning to a single vendor will provide a more stable platform and help reduce costs and improve efficiencies across the patient care enterprise.
The iSite application soon will be discontinued, and access will be unavailable.
In anticipation of this change, please familiarize yourself with Vue Motion by visiting the Epic A–Z site at the following link: Vue Motion Help.
Town hall meetings will be held every Thursday in February from 4:30 to 5 p.m. in the Franken Conference Room (Elevator H, Level 3) to educate interested staff on the new viewer.
A link to Vue Motion is already available on all clinical workstations, and clinical staff members who currently use iSite are encouraged to transition to Vue Motion as soon as possible.
