Volunteers needed for focus group on culturally and ethnically inclusive products

All UI Health Care employees and volunteers are invited to take part in a focus group about culturally and ethnically inclusive products at UI Hospitals & Clinics.

UI Hospitals & Clinics is committed to providing inclusive products to all patients. In order to reach this goal we have formed a small workgroup consisting of Jodi Tate, MD, Nkanyezi Ferguson MD, Marta VanBeek MD, Trudy Laffoon, RN, MA, BC, and John Wagner, RN, MA, BC. We’re now seeking a larger workgroup to help us identify personal care items that we may not currently offer to our diverse patient population. In addition, we would like input on how to best disseminate information about these items and how to provide education and training to staff.

The focus group will meeting at the following times. You only need to attend one meeting.

  • Thursday, July 18, at 7:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, August 7, at 5 p.m.

If you would like to take part in this focus group, please RSVP here. If you are not able to participate we would still appreciate your input and feedback via the same link.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jodi Tate at jodi-tate@uiowa.edu or call 319-384-5715.
