Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 16, several changes are happening that will help get you where you need to go quicker.
Expanded staff entrances/exits
We’re adding several new staff only entrances/exits. We’re also expanding the hours on several of these to have 24/7 access. Thank you for your patience as we have had reduced staff entrances/exits over the past several months.
- Boyd Tower North: 24/7
- Level 1 to Pomerantz Family Pavilion: 24/7
- Family Medicine: 24/7
- Level 1 UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital: 24/7
Check out the map below for details.
Two-step staff screening process
You’ll also notice a few changes to staff screening. Starting Friday at 8 p.m., staff entrances will be locked.
- You’ll need to badge in to access the building.
- Then, you’ll swipe your badge again at the screening station to attest that you have no COVID-19 symptoms.
As a reminder, self-screening is a required process. Compliance with this process will be monitored.
Please help us be vigilant about individuals following others into the building without badging in. If you see a patient or visitor trying to use a staff entrance/exit, please direct them to the nearest available entrance/exit.
Use Fountain Lobby Entrance instead of Main Entrance April 16 to April 23
Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 16, the Main Entrance will be temporarily closed until Friday, April 23, while various construction projects are completed.
During this time, all screening operations will move to the Fountain Lobby Entrance, which will remain open 24/7 to patients, visitors, and staff as both an entrance and exit.
