Update 12:55 p.m.: At approximately 11:15 a.m. a main gas line was hit causing a gas leak. Patients were evacuated to the Coralville Fire Department. At approximately 12:15 p.m. the site was ‘cleared’ and patients were allowed to leave. The gas is still off at Pediatric Associates. The gas was just turned on to Urgent Care Holiday Road/Occupational Health location. We anticipate reopening later this afternoon.
UI Urgent Care, UI Occupational Health Clinic, and Pediatric Associates on Holiday Road in Coralville are currently closed due to an accidentally cut gas line.
The building has been evacuated and all patients and staff are safe. It may take several hours to repair the gas line, but we will re-open as soon as possible.
