Spanish classes for medical personnel start in October

University of Iowa Staff Language and Cultural Services presents a series of Spanish courses for medical personnel for fall 2017. Course options are as follows:

  • Beginners: Wednesdays, noon to 1 pm, Oct. 18 to Nov. 29, Room W462 GH (Elevator B, Level 4)
  • Beginners: Fridays, noon to 1 p.m., Oct. 20 to Dec. 8, Room W462 GH (Elevator B, Level 4); no classes Thanksgiving week
  • Beginners for Emergency Patient Financial Services: Thursdays, 3 to 4 p.m., Oct. 19 to Dec. 7, Room 1008-F-1 Roy Carver Pavilion (departmental request, limited space)
  • Advanced Interviewing Skills: Thursdays, 4 to 5 p.m., Oct. 4 to Nov. 15, Melrose Conference Room 3 (Elevator M, Level 5)

    • We will be looking into this in the future. Up to now we have not had that much interest in long-distance classes!

  1. I want to take this but am in clinic and cant take time off.Is there another way to take the class?

    • Will you be able to come in the Spring to a noon class? If someone organizes a group of 5 or more interested employees, we could possibly hold a class after 5 pm.
