New process: Co-worker Observations Reporting System (CORS)

In order to continue advancing our safety culture, we are pleased to announce a very important process change for UI Health Care as of March 10. Currently all behavioral events are being reported in our Patient Safety Net (PSN) system. Our HCIS team has recently developed a database specific to these events separate from the PSN system.

Having a Co-worker Observations Reporting System (CORS) database separate from the broader PSN system was guided by our partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Since implementation in May 2015, our PARS/CORS program has been very successful at UI Health Care. Read more about the PARS/CORS program.

We encourage you to resolve any perceived unprofessional interactions as professional adults whenever possible. This reporting system is an additional resource if those interactions are not effective. Once a report is entered into the system, it will be routed and addressed timely and appropriately.

To enter a report into the database, go to The Point (under Top Links) or directly to the address here: https://cors.healthcare.uiowa.edu/NoAuth/SubmissionForm.html
