Level 12 of UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital reserved for patients, families during Hawkeye home football games

During the 2017 Iowa Hawkeyes football season, pediatric patients and families at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital will be able to watch the action in Kinnick Stadium from Level 12—the top level of the children’s hospital—during home football games.

Level 12 will be reserved solely for eligible pediatric patients and their immediate family members on home game days, beginning one hour before kickoff and continuing until 30 minutes after the game. These patients and families will receive special tickets to access the Level 12 area.

UI Health Care employees, students, and volunteers, as well as the public, will not have access to Level 12 during the times reserved on game days for patients and their families.

Throughout the football season, all entrances to UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and UI Hospitals and Clinics will be secured on home game weekends from 9 p.m. Friday until Sunday morning. The connector bridges on Levels 1 and 2 also will be secured.

Public access to UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and UI Hospitals and Clinics will be at the main entrances only from 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday morning. Information Desk and Safety and Security staff will verify patient locations for all visitors and assist with wayfinding.
