ILI Clinic to integrate into existing clinics starting Tuesday, May 11

The Influenza Like Illness (ILI) Clinic will soon integrate COVID-19 testing, treatment, and evaluation into existing UI Health Care clinics. Starting Tuesday, May 11, patients with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive diagnosis will be able to schedule a telehealth video visit or be seen in person in a UI QuickCare or UI Urgent Care location.

Patients can also directly contact their established primary care provider with any concerns related to COVID-19.

Why we’re making this change

Due to the vaccination rate of the general population, as well as our ongoing adherence to the COVID-19 safety policies, UI Health Care can now safely provide ILI Clinic activities in any UI Health Care clinic. Decreasing volumes within the existing ILI Clinic locations also allow existing UI Health Care clinics to absorb ILI Clinic patients.

By decentralizing COVID-19 testing, treatment, and evaluation, UI Health Care can provide additional COVID-19 vaccination resources and use existing resources for increased efficiencies.

Additional information on ILI Clinic/Telemedicine can be found on the COVID-19 information hub.
