Epic will be down from approximately 1 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, as HCIS performs system failover.
A separate email notification will be sent to inform users when the downtime is complete and the system is available again. While Epic is down, users can access an up-to-date, read-only copy of patient data by clicking on the Downtime icon available on all UI Health Care clinical workstations and via remote access. Users will log into the Downtime environment using the same ID/password used on the Epic production system.
UI Hospitals & Clinics staff can review specific downtime workflows and Epic Downtime environment access instructions on the Downtime Procedures site. Clinicians are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Downtime environment in preparation for system downtime.
