Previously, I wrote to tell you about the University of Iowa’s response to Executive Order 13950, which required a review of employee training programs. I’m pleased to inform you that UI Health Care’s review is now complete, and all our own DEI-related trainings and programming remain unchanged and have fully resumed.
Many thanks to the teams in Human Resources, Legal, Nursing, and Operations, as well as the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for their expediency in this important work.
I want to reiterate UI Health Care’s unwavering commitment to fostering an environment that is culturally and intellectually diverse, equitable, inclusive, and in which everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We have more work to do towards that end, and together we will succeed.
