The Colorectal Cancer Screening and Polyp Surveillance Program will be conducting a pilot from March 1 to June 30, utilizing a GI navigator to trial new processes aimed at reducing the number of patients that are overdue or become overdue for colorectal cancer screening and surveillance.
Program coordinators will be contacting patients who meet the eligibility criteria for screening and have appointments with their primary care provider in the next three months.
Providers are encouraged to help educate their patients on the importance of screening.
