When asked, “What inspires you?”

“I have worked as a nurse for 36 years at UIHC through which I have had many experiences. I am now a part of a team of individuals who are committed to improving patient safety and the quality of patient care. I am inspired listening and observing their enthusiasm in meetings to now pull from my years of experience and work with this team in Infection Prevention, Performance Improvement and Patient Safety by collecting data to monitor stability of existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and make changes that will lead to improvement and reduction in errors. To then implement evidence based best practices that improves the quality and safety of our patients is truly inspiring.”
