Operations Engineer

Education/ Background:

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration – University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa
• Master of Science in Environmental Science – American University of Beirut, Beirut,  Lebanon
• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry – American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate quality and operational improvement initiatives across UIHC to improve patient safety, efficiency, and quality of care.
• Apply performance improvement methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, DMAIC, and process mapping to identify problems, understand root causes and implement improvements that eliminate waste.
• Develop methods for data collection to monitor improvement efforts.
• Conduct advanced data analysis to guide improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the OE team to prepare and present educational programs on Lean and performance improvement.
