Alex Nance, MHA

Director, Office of the Patient Experience

Responsibilities:

With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Alex’s professional background includes expertise in practice operations, process improvement, project and financial management and leading patient experience initiatives. As Director of the Office of the Patient Experience, he collaborates with senior leadership and stakeholders across UI Health Care to continue development and implementation of strategies aimed at achieving a nationally recognized patient experience.

Areas of responsibility under the Office of the Patient Experience include: Patient Relations, Patient Education, Guest Services, Spiritual Services, Interpreter Services, the Strategic Improvement Team, and the COPE program.

Background/Education:

  • Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA.

Hobbies/Special Interests:

Alex most enjoys working in concert with team members across UI Health Care to create, implement, and monitor progress of initiatives designed to strengthen and sustain its “patient-first” culture.
