Pediatric Chaplain

Responsibilities:

Providing for the spiritual care needs of patients and their families at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Education/Background:

• B.A. in religious studies and psychology from the University of Iowa
• M.Div. with emphasis in theology, philosophy, and ethics from Boston
  University School of Theology
• Clinical Pastoral Education units from New England Deaconess and
  Fairview-Southdale Hospitals

Special Interests and Activities:

I love to read, especially poetry and mysteries. I am active in church and community activities in
Cedar Rapids as well as spending time with my family.

When asked, “What inspires you?”:

I am inspired by so many young people right now who are passionately working to change the world for the better. In my work as a chaplain, I am inspired by those who, in the midst of dealing with crisis and illness, are able to surround their children with such love and care.
