Management Services Assistant Director, Guest Services

Responsibilities: 

As the Assistant Director of Guest Services, Robin has administrative oversight of programs that enhance the patient, family and guest experience including Patient Escort and Valet Services, Information Desks, Concierge Services, the Rossi Guest House Lodging Program, Patient Discharge Lounge and Centralized Equipment Distribution. A diverse and dedicated team of nearly 150 permanent staff, students and volunteers provide services in each of these areas that directly impact hospital-wide strategic goals of service excellence and efficiency. Robin and her teams have received the University of Iowa Improving Our Workplace Award in 2006, 2008 and 2015. Prior to 2003 when she was hired for the Guest Services position, Robin spent 18 years in leadership positions at the Convention & Visitors Bureau’s in Iowa City/Coralville and the Amana Colonies. Her first job after college was as a television news reporter and producer in Ames and Des Moines.
