The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to assist in programmatic development to support clinical investigations in Pediatrics and serve as a clinical coordinator for a subset of clinical research studies in multiple disciplines within the department. The coordinator will be involved in all aspects of research including patient recruitment and enrollment, patient education and assessment, data collection and monitoring, regulatory documentation, and coordination of research visits with all appropriate disciplines. The coordinator will independently manage multiple research trials, and work collaboratively with other coordinators throughout the Department. Programmatic activities will include serving as primary contact for a national pediatric clinical trials group, assisting in monitoring department-wide compliance, and providing creative input regarding optimization of pediatric clinical research. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, a valid Iowa Nursing License and 3 or more years of clinical experience.
