New Faculty Announcement – Dr. David Dickens

Please welcome Dr. David Dickens to the Department today in the Division of Hematology/Oncology as Clinical Professor.

Dr. Dickens received his BS in 1992 from Oberline College. He earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in 1996. Dr. Dickens completed pediatric residency training in 1999 from Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Subsequently, he completed pediatric fellowship training in hematology/oncology from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Upon graduation, Dr. Dickens has worked for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital as a staff pediatrician, as well as Assistant Director of Clinical Services for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation.

Dr. Dickens will be the Pediatric Oncology Clinical Director. He will staff oncology outpatient clinics for the Division of Hematology/Oncology, and will share in the coverage of the pediatric hematology/oncology inpatient service and the oncology consultation service. Additionally, he will focus on building the clinical oncology program.
