U.S. News ranks medicine graduate programs, children’s specialties

best-childrens-hospitals-8specs[io]The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and UI Children’s Hospital were included in annual rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

Five collegiate programs were listed in the “Best Graduate Schools” rankings released in March: physician assistant, physical therapy, rural medicine, primary care medicine, and medicine-research.

Eight children’s specialties were named in the “Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings released in June: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; diabetes and endocrinology; neonatology; nephrology; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology.

The annual U.S. News “Best Hospitals” rankings were not yet available when Medicine Iowa went to press.
