David Allis to deliver Vestling Lecture

Dr. David Allis, the Joy and Jack Fishman Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Chromatin Biology at Rockefeller University will deliver this year’s Vestling Lecture in the Sahai Auditorium at 4 pm on February 25.  The title of Allis’s lecture is “Beyond the Double Helix: Reading & Writing the Histone Code.”  A reception will follow the lecture.

For the first time, the Carver College of Medicine has assembled a Distinguished Biomedical Scholars Series of lectures from the most prestigious of the named lectureships in CCOM departments.

The Vestling Lecture was endowed by friends of former Head of Biochemistry (1963-1976) Carl Swenson Vestling including Dr. & Mrs. Robert Barker, Dr. Philip Burck, Dr. David Henson, Dr. & Mrs. Harry Hogenkamp, Dr. & Mrs. George Kalnitsky, Dr. Thomas Kelly, Drs.
