Biochem Honors students present at Lata Symposium

Eleven Biochemistry Honors students presented their research this afternoon at the 6th Annual Gene F. Lata Undergraduate Research Symposium. Please join Undergraduate Advisor, Professor Alice Fulton, Honors Advisor Professor Bryce Plapp, and myself in congratulating these 2010 graduates and their research mentors for a job well done.

  • Anthony Berger, who conducted research with Peter Rubenstein, is bound for Columbia’s MPH program in advance of medical school
  • Edward Cho, who conducted research with Todd Washington, is medical school-bound
  • Rebecca Coe, who conducted research with Todd Washington, will attend the Carver College of Medicine
  • John Froehlig, who conducted research with Madeline Shea, will enter the Johns Hopkins Biophysics graduate program
  • Ying-Kai Fu, who conducted research with Adrian Elcock, will travel for a year before medical school
  • Alex Lagneaux, who conducted research with Todd Washington, is medical school-bound
  • Cort Lawton, who conducted research with Kris DeMali, will continue research with Kris and then apply to medical schools
  • Shu Yu Liao, who conducted research with Pamela Geyer, is graduate school-bound
  • Nick Loudas, who conducted research with David Price, is medical school-bound
  • Kevin Lu, who conducted research with David Price, is medical-school bound
  • Martin Whitman, who conducted research with Madeline Shea, will attend the Carver College of Medicine
